Board of Directors

The Management of the affairs of the ASWC is vested with a Board of Directors (BoD) consisting of 05 Directors each nominated by the State Govt. and the Central Warehousing Corporation including the Chairman appointed by the State Govt. The Managing Director is the 12th member of the Board of Directors & the Chief Executive of the Corporation. As Sec 20 of the Warehousing Corporation Act, 1962, the Board of Directors act on business principles having regard to public interest and guided by such instructions on questions of policy as may be given to them by the State Govt. or the Central warehousing Corporation.

There is an Executive Committee of the BOD/ASWC constituted under Sec.25 of the said act which consists of

  • The Chairman of BOD
  • The Managing Director
  • Three other Directors chosen in the prescribed manner from among other members of the BOD.
 

The Chairman of the BOD is the Chairman of the Executive Committee. Subject to any general on special direction as the BoDs may from time to time, the Executive Committee is the competent authority to deal with any matter within the competence of the State ASWC.
